Mtb trails

What better way to enjoy the beauty of the uncontaminated territory of Montaione, than to cycling along paths, exploring an area that at every turn amazes you with panoramas of breathtaking beauty?
This is the secret of an increasingly popular sport that allows you to leave behind the noise of traffic and daily stress and venture through the rough trails or breathtaking descents through forests, vineyards, rows of cypress trees and fields of sunflowers surrounded only by the noise of the wind and your wheels.

This is why Montaione Mtb Trail Area has chosen - among many trails and itineraries that wind through the immense countryside of Montaione - some of those found in the 10 areas of the territory of Montaione and which we believe are the most beautiful and interesting.
Some paths favor the naturalistic aspect crossing parks and wooded areas, or the landscape passing on particularly scenic roads or through medieval villages, churches and places where history has left its mark.
Other routes, instead, have more technical features such as single tracks, whose downhills and climbs will put a strain on even the most experienced and trained cyclists.

Every day a new path. You will the spoilt for choice.

Suggested routes represents only some of the possibilities you have to explore the territory with  your bike, and you certainly be able to join trails together to create new ones and perfect for your skills and tastes.

The routes are usable not only by those who want to go out for a bike ride but are also perfectly suitable for those who want to walk in the countryside, to do trekking or just to enjoy a day outdoors!
All suggested tracks are available to be downloaded in the appropriate formats to be used with the most common gps devices or with the useful Wikiloc application for your smartphones.
Although we suggest you follow the routes with a GPS device, if you really do not like technology, you can download and print the route card to have it at hand at all times.

The territory

Why you should come to Montaione to do mountain biking

Saying that Montaione is located in the heart of Tuscany - one of the most beautiful regions of Italy - less than an hour's drive from the most famous cities of art like Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and San Gimignano, surrounded by spectacular landscape and immersed in an uncontaminated territory would be reductive even if these are certainly the most important reasons to spend a holiday even if you are not doing sports.

However, there are more reasons, that will convince you to choose Montaione, as a favorite destination for your next cycling holidays.
